Robert is a graduate of Architectural Engineering Technology, Professional Technologist (Buildings), National Certificate Holder, and Approved Designer of septic systems. He is the founder and principal of RJ Miller Building Professionals Inc. which provides residential and commercial inspection services, custom home design, commercial building design, and project management. The mission of the company is to promote good building practices, safe and affordable housing, and consumer protection.
He currently serves as a Councillor for the Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador and has previously volunteered as a Federal Councillor for the GPC Fund, Board Member of the College of the North Atlantic Board of Governors, President of the Student Representatives Council of the College of the North Atlantic, and Build Volunteer for Cabot Habitat for Humanity.
As part of his professional development, Robert is an affiliate member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals.
Most of his personal time is spent with his wife and three young children. Every now and then, he finds enough free time to enjoy photography, volunteers as the Vice President of St. John's Camera 35 photograph club, and occasionally explores the province of Newfoundland and Labrador by motorcycle.
